INFANT'S BODY FOUND.
IN ASHLEY RIVER-BED. (Special to the "Guardian."} CHRISTCHURCH, April 9.. The body of a newly-born infant in a. decomposed condition was found in the Ashlev riverbed near Rangiora yesterday morning. Some employees of the Borough Council were working in the rubbish dump, which is close to the road leading to the main traffic bridge, • when a boy named Raymond Morris, 14 years of age, noticed a brown paper parcel. On examination this proved to contain the body of a child. llie police at Rangiora were summoned and acting on the instructions of the Coroner, removed the body to the Christchurch Hospital for pathological examination.
