GREYMOUTH COUNCIL PAYS. CYCLE SKIDS ON WET TAR. (Per Press Association.* GREYAIOUTH, This Day. The Greymouth Borough Council was Ordered by Mr Aleldrum, S.M., in the Court this morning, to pay £lO and costs to Joseph Rudhall, and £9 9s and costs to Elsie ltudhall, as damages sustained to clothes when a motor cycle skidded on wet tar on Alarsden Road.
Plaintiffs claimed that insufficient precautions had been taken by the Council to give warning of the tar to users of the thoroughfare.
