A PICTURE CASE.
CENSOR’S RECOMMENDATION. IGNORED BY THEATRE MANAGER (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. For failing to publish in an advertisement of the film “Flight” a recommendation by the Censor that it was more suitable for adult audiences, Herbert Gladstone Hill (manager of the Cii'ic Theatre) was fined £1 and costs. This is the first case of the kind heard in New Zealand. The Magistrate said that defendant had evidently committed the breach as a protest against the Censor’s recommendation, Hill considering the film was suitable for children.
