A SCHEME OF RELIEF. RECOMMENDATIONS BY BOARD. APPROVAL BY CABiNET. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. At a farewell to Mr Andrew Collins (one of the founders of trade unionism in New Zealand), the Hon. W. A. Veitcli (Minister of Labour) said that the Board set un at his instigation to investigate unemployment and make recommendations had drawn up a scheme, which Cabinet had apnroved, and which would be published shortly. He considered it would do much to relieve the unemployment problem. “We can improve on it,” he said, “but it is impossible to devise a scheme which will appeal to everyone as perfect.”
