MEETING A|T HINDS. THE CONCLUDING EVENTS. »Y 1 Despite dull; cold weather, the annual sports ‘ meeting of the Hinds Athletic Club, held on Saturday afternoon, whs a pronounced. success. An attractive programme of events was presented, and a large attendance of spectators maintained a keen interest until the last events. The gate receipts amounted to £4l and, together with members’ subscriptions, showed an improvement on recent years. Large entries were received in the various sections, and the majority of the events were closely contested. Much of the success of the meeting is attributed to the secretary (Mr C. 3>. Chisnall), assisted 1 by an enthusiastic committee.
