RELIGIOUS CRUSADE.
LONDON PASTOR'S ADVOCACY. HALF-FILLED CHURCHES. (United Press Association— Copyright.) LONDON, March 13. The feature of the clay's proceedings at the National Council of free Churches at Nottingham was an appeal made bv the Rev. R. Pyke, ot Plvmouth, for a new religious crusade. He bemoaned the half-tilled churches, declaring that a large part of England had lapsed into semi - heathenism. "Wesley went to the people, but we are waiting vainly for them to come to us." he declared. He advocated a crusade bv educated, open-air evangelists, working on a guaranteed living wage provided by rich men.
