LEGACY WORTH £50,000, As welcome as it is unexpected is a windfall of £50,000 Avhiclu has come to the North Staffordshire Royal Infirmarv, Stoke-on-Trent. Five years ago M'iss Dora Twyiurd, a daughter of the late Mr Thomas Twyaord, principal ol Messrs Twyfords, Ltd., of the Potteries, died, and lelt £12,000 to the infirmary for the erection of a new Aving in inemorv of her-father and mother, and £IOO for the maintenance fund of tlie infirmary. The iigav gift of £50,000 is entirely Avithout conditions, and is to be paid from tlie residue of Miss TAvyford’s estate. As the infirmary is in debt to the extent of OA-er £60,000 this legacy relieves the governors of much anxiety.
