NOVEL CLAIM PAID.
PEARL SWALLOWED BY DOG. DEPRECIATED TN VALUE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Dav, 9.30 a.m.) PARIS, .March 11. An insurance company has paid a novel claim. An actress broke a pearl necklace and a dog swallowed the largest pearl, which was recovered by moans ot an emetic hut it was diminished in size, presumably having been partly dissolved in the dog’s stomach. The company paid the difference between its present value and the value of the gem before it was swallowed.
