GOOD SALMON RUN.
FISH IN WAIMAKARIRI. (Special to the “Guardian.”) CHRISTCHURCH, March 10. The best salmon run this season took place in the Waimakariri this morning. From “The Point” to the sea salmon were sen rising constantly, but, considering the number in the river, they were not taking the spoon too well. However, by 10 o’clock one lucky angler, Air George Buckett, had four fish, ranging from 14 to 20 each. Air Lord had three, and most others one apiece. Down stream at Kairaki, out of; seven boats fishing, six secured a fish apiece within an hour. A feature of the salmon this year is the fact that thev are not gashed and marked as in other years-
