A heavy cloudburst between Parkes ami Condoblin resulted in a terrific downpour of rain., which washed away three miles of railway. » Five inches fell in 20 minutes, Five square miles of low country are under water. The banks of the dams burst, and fences were washed away and homes flooded. ' • A message from Darwin states that record floods are reported from various parts of Northern Territory. There have been numerous washaways on the railway, farms have been destroyed,, and portion of the telegraph line is down. Twenty-one inches fell in 10 hours. The police station at' Daly is under water.
