THE FOURTH SALE AT NAPIER. BIDDING MORE GENERAL AND KEEN. ■I (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, March 6. The fourth Napier wool sale was held to-night when a catalogue of , hales was offered to a. very full bencl ° f whole, bidding was keen; much more so than lias been the case at previous sales in N apier this season, and one feature was that it came from all quarters, showing the most ot the markets of the world were keen to obtain wool at the prices ruling. Taking a line on the recent Wanganui sale, prices for pieces and bellies were better than those ruling tneie. Fleece wool, on opening catalogues, was about id easier, but toward the end of the sale full late rates at the Wanganui sale were ruling. Lambs wool was about the same. Compared with the January sale m Napier fleece wool was to-night about id to id down, while pieces and bellies tor which there was keen demand, showed id increase. Lambs’ wool uas eiiatic with pieces up to last sale. ■Growers genrally seemed willing to meet the market and a comparatively small percentage, certainly not as great as at the last two sales, was held.
