SECRETARY MISUSES FUNDS. (Per Press Association.) DTJNEDIN, This Day. At the Police Court, Donald Stuart McLean pleaded guilty to the theft of ClO, the property of the Combined Railway Picnic Association, The polite gave evidence that when called noon to hand over the money when defeated for the position of secretary of the Association, which he had held 'for three vents, accused, was unable to do so, but restitution was mode later. He was married, am! was formerly" on the railway. He was in bad health, and used the Association s funds when tradesmen pressed n»m. Accused was admitted to V2 months, probation.
