LOCAL BODY RATES.
WAKANUI AND MOUNT HUTT. A total of £l2B 18s 3d was outstanding in the rates struck by the Wakanui Road Board, and which were required to be paid by yesterday. In the No. 2 Ward rates amounting to £512 15s 4d were struck, of which £473 18s 9d were
paid, leaving £3S 16s 7d outstanding. Outstanding rates in No. 3 Ward amounted to £9O Is Bd,the total struck being £628 19s sd. Rates struck by the Mount Hutt Road Board for 1929-30 total £3210. Of this amount £1240 has been paid to date. The last day for payment is February G. after which a penalty of 10 per cent, will be imposed. '
