Walter Keen, married, a clerk emoloycd by the South Canterbury Power Board, pleaded guilty to embezzling £l3l 19s Id from the Board. Accused said he had been betting on horses, and lately betting heavily to recuperate. Keen was .committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
