At Chicago six sailors on hoard the cre-carricr Senator were drowned when she collided with the- steamer Marouecte in the middle of the forenoon during a dense fog. Thu Senator was an old-time iron ship Which filled immediately and sank in ten minutes. Captain Finch was lescued. The [Marquette rescued three, and a passing schooner saved nine" ilhors. . The Great Lakes casualty list during the recent storms amounts to 115.
