THEFTS FROM CARS.
•A YOUTH IMPRISONED. (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, June 10. For the theft from a motor-car of an overcoat which he subsequently pawned, a youtli, Thomas Henry Ball, was sentenced to 14 dayts’ imprisonment as an example to others who pilfer from cars.
It was stated that such thefts were very numerous, and that the position was becoming serious.
