CLOSING DOWN.
MUNICIPAL MARKET. DECISION AT CHRISTCHURCH. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 10. The Christchurch Municipal Market, which was opened in temporary buildings oil a vacant section owned by the Electricity Department soon after the last Labour Council took charge, is to be closed. The Council to-night decided to sell the site for £9OOO. A committee is to discuss with the fruitgrowers and others interested the question of whether support will be forthcoming to justify the Council in establishing a larger market.
