The -Committee of the League of Nations held a debate on the prevention of accidents to employees loading and unloading ships, on. which the Labour Office drafted a convention requiring numerous safety appliances on ships and shore, the latter including specific lighting of wharves and certain types of roads and bridges oyer docks anil, landing-places. —Australian Press Association.
