SHEEP-DOG TRIALS.
METHYEN’S ANNUAL FIXTURE.
Tli© Metliven Collie Dog Club held its annual trials on the Drayton Estate, lent by Mr T. S. Harrison. Record entries were received, and there was a good attendance throughout the trials. Visiting and local owners were present in good numbers, and some splendid work was done. All the officials, with the energetic secretary (Mr F. W. Fagan) worked bard to make the trials a success. The judging was in the capable hands of Mr John Morgan (of Mount Somers), whose decisions gave every satisfaction.
On the evening of the opening day of the trials the club held a successful smoke social in the Methven Public Hall, w T here the visiting competitors were hospitably entertained, and a long toast-list was honoured. The results were:
