A SUDDEN DEATH.
FATALITY AT LAGMHOR. Mrs Alaud Ralph, aged 52, wife of Mr J. T. Ralph, of Lagmhor, died suddenly at her residence yesterday morning. An inquest was held in the Ashburton Magistrate’s Court before the District Coroner (Mr R. Clark) this afterDr. G. I. Miller saad he had held a post mortem on deceased, and considered that death was due to rupture of the heart, following on the. diseased condition of the heart muscles. The other organs of the body were in a normal condition. John Thomas Ralph, husband of deceased, said his wife had not enjoyed good health during the last six years t and during that period she had had two strokes. He said that, lately, she had beqn more or less an invalid. Deceased had risen early yesterday morning and _he had taken her into the kitchen in a chair and placed her on the sofa, but she fell forward on to the floor. He was unable to lift her and sent for assistance. Death must have been instantaneous. The Coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
