YOUTH MISSING.
DROWNING ACCIDENT FEARED. (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, June 7. A youth named Redpath, aged about 18 years, has been missing from a farm iat Cape Jackson, Queen Charlotte Sound, since Wednesday afternoon. He left home in a small boat to procure gravel from a bay about half a mile distant. Later the upturned boat was discovered, together with the youth's hat, the oars and the gravel boxes. Launch parties have been searching ever since, but, though the coast for miles has been thoroughly combed, no trace of the missing lad has been discovered.
Redpath came from Waipukurau early this year with his father, who is managing the farm for Mr Rex McLauchlan, Waipukurau, County Engineer.
