BERLIN SENSATION.
ARREST OF A COUNTESS. SUICIDE OF HER FIANCE. BERLIN, May 28. The arrest, on a charge of stealing jewellery worth £SOOO, of the beautiful Countess Helga von Monroy, and the subsequent suicide of her fiance, von Wedel, have shocked Berlin society. It is alleged 1 that the Countess stole the jewfJlery at Christmas from the villa of her aunt, Countess Hermeroberg. Detectives, who suspected her, yesterday saw her offering the jewels for sale.
Evidently fearing police examination, tier fiance shot himself with a revolver. * -
