A FRENCH COMEDY

"BOY NEVER BORN."

REGISTRATION NOT ADMITTED.

MARRIAGE LICENSE REFUSED. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) PARIS, June 6. Henri Beinesse, though only 17 years of age, wanted to be married, so his- father took him to Hilaire Cambria Town Hall to get the necessary papers. Ignoring the presence of Henri, the registrar assured the lad's father, "But your son is not yet born." The father insisted that he knew better, through having seen him daily and kept him for 17 years; but the registrar was adamant. The.birth had never been registered, so, not being born, the youth could not possibly be married. The father unayailingly gave the date and time of registration, so there was* nothing for it but to hunt up the doctor and nurse and have Henri officially born, only to be instantly, married.—Australian Press Association.
