STEAMER BEATS THE TRAIN. BRISBANE TO SYDNEY RUN. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Orient liner Orama made a new record trip from Brisbane to Sydney, covering the distance of 447 miles in 21 hours 25 minutes. The Orama averaged a speed of almost 21 miles an hour. The time taken is an hour and a quarter faster than that by the Brisbane to Sydney express train.—Australian Press Association.
