WITH A REVOLVER.
YOUNG MAN’S OFFENCE. (Special to the “Guardian.”) AUCKLAND, Dec. 28. In the Police Court this morning James Alfred Essex Grundy, aged twenty, appeared to answer a charge of having assaulted a young woman and of having procured possession of a revolver. Grundy denied the assault charge. The Magistrate, Mr Cutteii, convicted him on the charge regarding the revolver, and ordered him to come lip for sentence if required on condition that he left to-night for Te Awamutu, where he has a job. Grundy said he did not like having to go to-night, but his father informed t]i© Magistrate he would be sent down on to-night’s express.
