“A FAIR NIGHT.”
GENERAL STATE IMPROVES.
anxiety somewhat believed. (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, December 28. A bulletin issued at 12.40 a.m. stated: The King had a fair night and quieter sleep toward morning. There has been less difficulty in tailing nourishment. His Majesty’» general state has improved during the 12 hours. At the consultation this morning the progress of the past week was reviewed. During that period there has been definite improvement of local condi--tions. On the other hand, his Majesty’s general condition, as evidenced by weight and strength, does not show the progress. Measures best adapted for meeting this difficulty were considered and determined by Sir Stanley Hewett, Sir Hugh Rigby and Sir b. Farquhar Buzzard, Sir Humphry Rolleston and Lord Dawson. Lord Dawson saw the King foi hair an hour during the afternoon, and it was later officially stated that his Majesty’s condition was unchanged Anxiety had been somewhat relieved by the fact that the King has shown some improvement during the last 12 hours before the issue of tbe bulletin. This to a small extent justified the hope the doctors expressed last night that the King would regain some of the lost ground. The advance a niefat, however, was very slight, ana the principal anxiety is regarding his general condition, which, though satisfactory, is now of paramount lmporta*The Prince of Wales called at the Palace twice during the morning.
