When the creditors in the: bankrupt estate of William Henryo Brown, builder, of Christchurch, and formerly of Staveley, met last, week; they • decided to adjourn the meeting, so that additional statements could be made, and the second meeting was- held yesterdav morning, the Official Assignee (Mr A. W. Watters) presiding. The reason assigned by Brown for his bankruptcy was lack of capital. The amount owing to unsecured creditors was £798 8s sd, and to secured creditors £1250, the. estimated value of the security being £I3OO. The total assets were £SO, the deficiency being £748 8s sd.
