WINDOWS SMASHED

MAN WITH A GRIEVANCE. AT PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS. 'Per Press Association ) WELLINGTON, April 13. Armed with a section of half-inch water pipe, at least six feet in length, a mail smashed no fewer than nine window panes at Parliament House early to-night. A shattering hammer-like bang on the window of the office occupied «>y the Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young), at 6.5 p.m., was the first intimation that someone had run amok. A face appeared at the broken window, and then disappeared, the disappearance being followed by another loud sound of glass splintering. Messengers hurried outside, and secured the window smasher, holding hint until the arrival of the police. A subsequent examination showed, that nine panes had come in contact with the iron pipe. All the windows broken were of rooms situated .on the ground floor, and offered an easy target, once the individual left the path and gained the lawn. It Avas suggested that the windowbreaker had a grudge against the Government, and adopted a crude method of venting his disapprobation. His apprehension was effected however, before he cracked the Avindows of the room occupied by the Prim© Minister.
