THE WEATHER.
STRONG NORTH-WEST WIND. A strong north-west wind blew during last night and continued throughout to-day. The morning was dull, but toAvard noon the sun shone brightly; making conditions warm. The barometer, reading at 9 o clock this morning was 29.73 inches, as against 30.3 inches yesterday. The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 73 and .66 degrees respectively, compared avi'u 68°and 52 on Wednesday. OFFICIAL FORECAST. The following forecast was issued Indications are for northerly winds,, strong to gale,, and backing by " est to south after about 24 hours. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable. Weather clouding over • rain later. The weather will probably become colder. Barometer falling, but rising after about 24 hours.
