ALLEGED GUNRUNNING
ARMS FOR CHINESE FORCES. CANTONESE ATTACK STEAMER. (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) SHANGHAI, January 27. The Czecho - Slovakian steamer Praga, en route from Manila to Tsingtao, was attacked by a Cantonese- gunboat off the coast of Shantung. A running fight lasting three hours ensued. Chi the arrival of the steamer at Tsiimtao, it was stated that the Praga carried 90,000 rifles and several million rounds of ammunition, ordered by Chang Chung-chang (Military Governor of Shantung), through a German firm. ,
