SWIMMING.
ASHBURTON CLUB ROSE BOWL. The second of a series of races for the Ashburton Swimming Club’s Rose Bowl was held at the Borough Baths last evening over a distance of 100 yards. The result was:—J, Ramsey (scr) 1, B. Lane (4secs) 2, A. Lane (4secs) 3. Won by two feet. WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP. DUNEDIN, This Day. The Water Polo Championship was carried a further stage last evening, when the undefeated Canterbury team met Wellington, the result being 5 goals each. The New Zealand swimming championships were continued this morning. In the first match of the last round of the water polo Wellington and Auckland’ drew with 3 goals each. The game was marred by overmuch talk and horseplay. All the finals take place to-niglit. I
