TINWALD TOWN BOARD
THE MONTHLY MEETING. The Tinwald Town Board met last evening, those present being Messrs H. Millichamp (chairman), W. Bryant, JGudsell and A. Watson. It was reported that the bank credit was £226 2s 3d Correspondence was'received from the Ashburton Power Board requesting the Board to prepare the necessary roll of ratepayers in connection with the poll on the proposed loan. It was intended that the poll should be held next month. It was decided to have the roll prepared. The Public Works Department advised that the .visit of the Main Highways Board hjad been fixed for January 30 and it was agreed that the chairman should represent the Town Board at the interview with members of the former body. An invitation was received from the Mayor of Greymouth for members of the Board to be present at the Grey District Diamond Jubilee celebrations next month. The clerk reported that £47 4s 7d was outstanding in rates and it was resolved to sue for all outstanding amounts without further notice. Accounts totalling £52 17s 2d were passed for payment.
