FARMERS' PARTY.
PROPOSAL IN BRITAIN. (Per Press Assoemtiori— Copyright.) LONDON, January 18. Proceedings at the annual meeting of the National Farmers' Union indicated a possible development similar to that in Australia by the creation ot a separate Farmers' Party;. The Union decided to instruct tne Council to consider seriously the selecting and supporting, of the independent agricultural candidates at the general election and ordered the preparation of a concise policy statement for a propaganda campaign. It was revealed that the union already has £11,500 as a, nucleus of a political fund.
