YOUNG GIRL KILLED. KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR-BUS. (Pei* Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 17. Greta M'ackie, aged ten veare, a daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Mackie> ot Te Aroha, was killed through being knocked down by a motor-bus at DevonDort this evening The child, who was accompanied by her mother, stepped from a stationary bus, and was knocked down by another passing bus, and died a quarter of an hour later.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. .Missing from her home since midnieht Mrs W. Elliot was found drowned near the wharf at Le Bons Bay at 11 o'clock yesterday. Mrs Elliot had been in bad health for some time. A search party set out at 6 a.m yesterday and the body was found by the Lyttelton boat Orewa at 11 o'clock. Mrs Elliot, who was 38 years of age, leaves a husband and four children, the youngest being four months old.
