AVIATOR CHAMPIONS.

NATIONAL AWARDS, LONDON, January 16. The International Union of Aviators has awarded the title of national air champion to Costes Lebrix (France). Captain Webster (Britain), Wonters air line pilot (Belgium), and 'Air Lieutenant Koppen (Holland). A new title, champion lady aviator of the world, was awarded to Lady Bailey the Englishwoman, who, anion"- other feats, established a world's altitude record for light aeroplanes by ascending to a height of 18,000 feet in a Moth, though the record was bettered later by Mrs Eliott-Lynn (now Lady Heath). ■ . ■ MM. Costes and Lebrix flew in October from France to Brazil, via Portugal. Flight-Lieutenant Webster. R.A.F., won the Schneider Cup race at Venice. M. Wouters, the air line pilot. Flying-Officer Koppen flew from Holland to Java as a pioneer of the Batavia air service.
