INVERCARGILL, . This Day. A' sensational affair is reported from Bluff, where Arthur Valentine (accountant to the Harbour Board), was found about 10.30 lying unconscious in the Board’s office, with a wound on his head.
The sum of approximately ~ is missing, presumably taken 'by Mr Valentine’s assailant Mr Valentine states that lie was making up the paysheets when he received a violent blow from behind, and roniembeivd nothing till the police arrived an hour later. At the time of the occurrence most Fduff people on the wharf were seeing the new tug Southland off on its first trip to Stewart Island,
