The statement made by John Robinson, who has been arrested in connection with the murder of Minnie Bonati, is said to have been the outcome of a dramatic scene in tlie waiting room at Scotland Yard, where Robinson hart been taken in order to be questioned. After waiting half an hour in tnecoinpany of a detective. Robinson sen word tb Chief Inspector Cornish that he wanted to see him. ... The Inspector went to the wading room, when Robinson, said: I} e , this is serious.” Then followed th& words of the alleged confession. When he appeared in Court a slean crowd, the majority being women, stru'T'ded and fought to enter. they rushed the doors, and the police had. to be reinforced.
