FIVE INCHES OF RAIN.
THUNDERSTORM AT ROTORUA. > DAMAGE CAUSED IN SHOPS. (Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, This Day. A thunderstorm swept Rotorua yesterday afternoon, and five inches of rain were recorded in a few hours. The water invaded the shops, causing considerable damage. The rain was purely local, extending over a narrow area. There was a wash-out.on the Wliakatane Road just outside the town.
