THE WEATHER.
A DELIGHTFUL WEEK-END, The weather over the week-end wa& delightful, the heat not being great, enough to cause discomfort. Yesterday the temperatures ranged! between 48 : and 68 degrees, compared with 47 an<E 62 on Saturday. The barometer to-day-stands at 29.93 inches, a rise of 20' points since yesterday, which is distinctly promising,' pointing to settled weather. At Methveni. At Methven, following rain on Friday evening, 18 points were recorded 5 up' to 9 a.m. on Saturday. Saturdayafternoon was dull, but Sunday was & beautifully fine day, and again to-day the sun is shining from a cloudless and the temperature is high. OFFICIAL FORECAST. The following forecast was issued to-day: — . The indications are for fresnennng moderate northerly winds. There is a prospect of fair weather. The barometer has a falling tendency soon.
