MAHENO TO BE WITHDRAWN
JOB CONTROL TACTICS. (Per Press Association —Copyright.) SYDNEY, December 29. After the next trip from Wellington, the Maheno will be tied up and replaced by an oil-fuel steamer. The Union Company decided on this step owing to the job-control tactics of the firemen and trimmers having caused continued and costly sailing delays. The company’s action will throw the firemen and trimmers ont of work, but the other members of tho crew will be re-employed.
