LONDON WHEAT MARKET. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, Dec. 28. Cargoes—The market is strong at an advance of from 2s to 2s 6d in view of the strength of America and Canada and reports of rain in Argentina, but there is little inquiry. Parcels are in fair demand at an advance of 2s 6d. Liverpool futures are quoted :—December, 13s O^d; March, 12s lOJd; May, 12s s*d; July, 12s 2d per cental. | CLEARING SALE AT ASHTON. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative Association held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Cray Bros, at Ashton yesterday. There was a good attendance, and offerings sold well. The following are some of the prices obtained: — , , , Sheep—23s ewes and lambs 19s, 4 Shropshire rams 38s. Horses —Mare 7yrs £4O, filly 2yrs £23, od. £25, gelding, 9.yrs £2O, do. 9yrs £lO ss. ” Dairy cows from £2 to £4. Shropshire pigs—Sow £6 2s 6d, do. £3 10s, cow and litter £7 ss, porkers £2 and £3, weaners from 12s 6d to 375.
