ROAD CYCLE RACE. TIMARU TO CHRISTCHURCH. . (Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The handicaps for the TimaruChristchurch Cycle Road Race next Saturday show that five men are on scratch, namely C. Bell, 11. G. Watson, A. Leatliam (of Christchurch), D. Wright (Reefton), and 11. Laskey (Soutlibrodk). Wright got fastest time last year. Orutchley (Wanganui) is on the 10 minutes mark, and Nicholson Brothei-s 15, and Lovell (New Plymouth 1 ’) T 9.

GOLF. DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The majority of prominent New Zealand players have entered for the open and nmateur go-lf championships, beginning here September 25. L. Goss has not 'entered. Ninety entries are expected. , MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING.

FINAL FOR THE CASS CUP. The final round for the Cass Cup was fired on the Hinds Miniature Rifle Club's range on Thursday evening. The clubs represented were Hinds, Lynnford, and Wfflowby. At the end of the second round Hinds was leading by four points, Lynnford and Willowby being equal. Willowby was unfortunate in not being able to raise a full team owing to lack of conveyance. At the conclusion Lynnford was declared winner by two points. Mr L. Chisnall presented the cup to Mr W. Henderson, who suitably responded. Supper was handed round.
