COMBATTING CANCER
TREATMENT BY VACCINATION. MATTER FOR CONSIDERATION. (Per Press Association —Copyright.) LONDON, July 23. The British Medicaf Association conference at. Bath, in camera, heard Dr. Gye's and' Mr J. E. Barnard's papers on their cancer discoveries. Interviewed, Dr. Gye said: "We are seeking a prophylactic to make man and animals self-protected against, cancer, and shall have to consider the claim of vaccination in the search for immunity." Referring to the numbers volunteering themselves for experimental purposes, Dr. Gye pointed out that experimenters always first try human experiments on themselves, then on their laboratory assistants, and then on their colleagues. "We never appeal to the public, and in any case have not yet thought of human experiments."
