THE REFORM PARTY.

CANTERBURY PRESIDENCY. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. About fifty supporters of the Reform Party attended a meeting last evening for the purpose of appointing a new executive committee and to review the political situation in Canterbury. Mr H. D. Acland, who has heen president of the Canterbury branch for some years, expressed a desire to retire from the position, and Mr E. 0. Huie was elected in his place. Mr H. G. Livingstone was re-elected honorary secretary of the branch and an executive of twelve members was set up. Various suggestions in regard to a more complete organisation of the party in Canterbury were brought farward and discussed and it was decided that the executive should consider the appointment of an organiser at an early date.
