THE WEATHER.
FROST AND SUNSHINE. Eleven degrees of frost were registered at the Domain weather station this morning, following on a clear night, and no wind. The conditions; have been bright to-day, with a slierht north-easterly breeze in evidence. The barometer stood at 29.98 inches at 9 a.m. The maximum, temperature yesterday was 48 degrees, and the minimum 26. THE MONTH AT EIFFELTON. At Eiffelton, in May, rain fell on eight days, the heaviest fall being of 1.28 inches on the night of Monday, May 4. The total fall for the month was 3.16 inches. Frost, sometimes fairly sharp, was experienced on 14 mornings. The readings were taken by Mr John McLauchlan.
OFFICIAL FORECAST. The following forecast was issued* to-day: Indications are for w south-easterly winds, moderate to strong, and backing by east to nortlu There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, and' misty at times. There will probably be a hard frost to-night. The barometer has a rising tendency.
