ARGENTINE CATTLE
SHARP RISE IN PRICE, LEADING INTERESTS CONFLICT. EFFECT ON COMPANY'S SHARES. (Per Press Association*—Copyright.) ("Sun.") (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. The directors of the English and Dutch Meat Company, referring to ai sharp fall in the company's shares and debentures, explain that conflict among leading interests in the meat trade has caused such a rise in the price of Argentine cattle that it is impossible to ship Argentine meat to Europe without considerable loss. The company wais not participating in, the conflict and was reducing its shipments to a minimum, but would resume them as soon as conditions wore normal, which could not be long delayed.
