IN TWENTY-FIVE FOOT SLOOP

Commander Eustace Maude, R.N., aged 77 who is commencing a voyage to England in a 25-foot sloop, arrived at Victoria, British Columbia, en route for the open sea, with Panama as his uext port of call. He will not sight land until he reaches the Canal. He has provisions for 100 days. Commander Maude expects to make the Canal in 60' days. He has 50 gallons of water, and the same quantity of gasoline aboard the vessel, Halt Moon," which has a 5-h.p. engine.
