NELSON JOCKEY CLUB. (Per Press Association.) NELSON, This Day. The Nelson Jockey Club's meeting was opened to-day in threatening weather. The track was good. The attendance was large. Results:—
Novice Handicap—Gardant 1, Some Abbey 2, Seakist 3. Also started— Otauru, Bonny Clan, Waterlea. Won by a length, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.17. Richmond Trot—Countess Eve 1, Comfort 2, Brooklyn Hall 3. All started. Won by three lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, 5.17. Cup—Happy Days 1, Viewpoint 2, Printempts 3. Scr—Presperity, Monoxide. Won by a short head, half a length between second and third. Time, 2.9.
WOODVILLE RACES. WOODVILLE, This Day. The Woodville Jockey Club's meeting was concluded in fine weather. The attendance was large. Results:—
Hurdles—Sling Camp 1, Waimatoa 2, Diamond Nap 3. Bitters fell. Scr— Bonifant. Won by half a length. Time, 2.50 2-5.
Novice Handicap—Sensation 1, Serene 2, Kilmere 3. All started. Won by a head. Time, 1.15 2-5. Autumn Handicap—Olarinda 1, Tresham 2, L' Amour 3. Scr—Corresipondent. Woai by two and arhalf lengths. Time, 1.56 1-5. GORE SUMMER MEETING. GORE. This Day. The Gore Racing Club's Summer meeting was continued to-day in showery weather. The track was in good order, and the attendance fair. Results:—
Otaraia Welter Handicap—Marko 1, Irish 2. Red Frav 3. Scr—Warseer. Won bv a length and a-half. Time, 1.32 1-5.
Autumn Handicap—All British and Geranial (dead heat) 1, Mountain Lion 3. All started. A dead heat, the third horse five lengths away. Time, 1.55 3-5 Hokonui Handicap—Bright Mark 1, -Apple Diehtau 2, Set Sail 3. All started, Won by a head. Time, 1.15.
