PREMIER OF QUEENSLAND.
MB GILLIES ELECTED, (Per Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, ILS a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. The Labour Party has elected Mr W. N. Gillies, Premier, in succession to Mr Theodore, who has resigned. Mr Gillies was previously Minister for Agriculture. W McCormack has been selected Deputy Leader of the State Parliamentary Labour Party. Mr Breenan, who is Minister for Public Instruction, has been appointed a. Judge of the Supreme Court. Two new Ministers, Messrs Wilson and T. Dunstan, have been chosen.
[The resignation of Mr Theodore is doubtless due to his previously expressed intention to enter Federal politics.]
