Mr William Black, Mayor of Alexandria, Central Otago, was a passenger by the south express this morning.
Mr J. Edie, M.P. (Clut-ha), accompanied by Mrs Edie, and Messrs J. A_ Macpherson, M.P. (Oamaru), and P. A. de la Perrelle, M.P. (Awarua), passed through Ashburton by the south express this morning.
Mr F. W. Watt, of Ashburton, returned home this morning after having attendod the annual conference of the New Zealand Power Boards’ Association, held in Wellington.
A London message says that Mr J. H. Thomas, together with the British delegation to the Empire Parliamentary Association, have departed for South Africa.
Messrs J- IM. Forrester, I. Da.lmcr, and W. Atkinson, chairman, engineer, and secretary respectively of the Waitaki Power Board, passed through Ashburton by the express this morning. They have been attending the PowerBoards’ Conference.
